We are looking for an experienced mechatronics engineer, for the optimization of our in-house precision motion systems. You will play a vital role in the design, testing and deployment phase, being responsible to reach accuracy, throughput and robustness targets of our motion components, by the means of design, simulation and experiments.
This role is ideal for a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with an interest in precision engineering and system metrology. You will work closely with our CTO and engineering team, gaining hands-on experience in the characterization of state-of-the-art motion systems.
Responsibilitites
- Design:
- Assist our in-house mechanical design team, by advising them on the application of concepts, that will improve the performance of the overall system.
- Develop an optimized metrology concept for our systems, allowing to overcome precision bottle-necks.
- Simulation:
- Build and extend our in-house mechanical and thermal simulation capabilities.
- Generate digital twins of our most critical components, to predict their performance and limitations.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the CTO, mechanical engineering team and software engineers to optimize and integrate new mechatronic solutions.
- Contribute to improving machine calibration and system reliability.
- Documentation:
- Prepare measurement reports, error budgets, and contribute to project documentation.
