CPO, CO-FOUNDER

marketing

PhD in nanoelectronics at University of Basel and Master in Fundamental Physics at the École Normale Supérieure and Polytechnique. With over 10 years of experience in nanotechnology, she is an expert in fabrication and characterization of nanomaterials and her network has been instrumental in securing our first business opportunities.

Maria El Abbassi

HEAD OF R&D

engineering

PhD in nanoelectronics at TU Delft and multiple years of experience with nanoscale molecular junctions and implemented new electronics with the lowest noise ever reported. His role at Chiral involves the fabrication and characterization of our nanomaterials and final electronic devices.

Luca Ornago

SENIOR R&D ENGINEER

engineering

More than 15 years of experience in mechanical machine design at Sensirion and 9T Labs where he designed and built wafer processing machines for 200mm wafers. He is responsible for the designing of mechanical components of the next-generation assembly systems.

Marko Nikolic

SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

engineering

Master in Finance from HEC Lausanne with experience at Teralytics. At Credit Suisse he was in charge of financial controlling, liquidity planning and forecasting of a business unit. As Strategy Consultant at Accenture he was an IT project Scrum Master and shaped multi-billion business cases. At Chiral he owns financial controlling and forecasting, and coordinates project management efforts.

What's New at Chiral

Nanomaterials startup Chiral raises $12m seed to build the ‘next ASML’

The Swiss startup has built a high-precision robotic system to handle nanomaterials and position them on a chip.

Chiral raises $12M to unlock post-silicon computing beyond Moore’s Law

The new funding will allow us to further advance making post-silicon computing chips based on nanomaterials manufacturable at wafer scale.

Automated robotic machines could be the solution to the nanotechnology problem

The lack of control in existing nanotechnology production methods, primarily chemistry-based, has hindered their commercialization to date. This is where Chiral, a Swiss nanotechnology firm, comes in.

Chiral powers next-generation electronics with nanomaterials as it raises $3.8m

Nanotechnology company Chiral is incorporating nanomaterials into electronics with the speed, precision, and control that can transform future chipmaking.

Why Chiral Thinks It Can Extend The Life Of Moore’s Law

The Zurich-based company has developed innovation it hopes will power a new generation of microchips – and therefore a new generation of even more powerful computing and technology.

Chiral wins CHF 150,000 to accelerate nanoelectronics production

Chiral joins two other breakthrough teams recognized for turning cutting-edge science into real-world solutions at Switzerland’s leading innovation award.
