Chiral develops high-precision nanomaterial integration equipment for next-generation quantum and semiconductor applications.
Founded in Switzerland in 2023 as an ETH Zurich spin-off, our team of scientists and engineers brings together expertise in nanotechnology, precision automation, and materials science to turn cutting-edge research into scalable industrial solutions.

A strong ecosystem behind Chiral
Chiral is backed by experienced deep-tech investors supporting our path from research to industrial scale.
Meet our Team

PhD in nanotechnology at ETH Zurich with a BSc in mechanical engineering at UC Berkely. He started working with nanomaterials as a research assistant at the Seoul National university at age 16 and co-authored his first paper at 19. As CEO he drives the company’s strategic orientation and fundraising efforts.

PhD in precision motion engineering at ETH Zurich with 10+ years experience in machine control technology with motion systems used by ASML at TRUMPF and ETEL. As CTO he is managing our technology roadmap and patent portfolio. As COO he oversees day-to-day operations of the company.

PhD in precision motion engineering at ETH Zurich and a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering. At Siemens his research resulted in a patent for a system manufacturing AI model and his research on mechanical nanoelectronics assembly allowed industrially viable manufacturing. As CPO he leads the engineering team and the development of our prototype.

PhD in nanoelectronics at University of Basel and Master in Fundamental Physics at the École Normale Supérieure and Polytechnique. With over 10 years of experience in nanotechnology, she is an expert in fabrication and characterization of nanomaterials and her network has been instrumental in securing our first business opportunities.

PhD in nanoelectronics at TU Delft and multiple years of experience with nanoscale molecular junctions and implemented new electronics with the lowest noise ever reported. His role at Chiral involves the fabrication and characterization of our nanomaterials and final electronic devices.

More than 15 years of experience in mechanical machine design at Sensirion and 9T Labs where he designed and built wafer processing machines for 200mm wafers. He is responsible for the designing of mechanical components of the next-generation assembly systems.

Master in Finance from HEC Lausanne with experience at Teralytics. At Credit Suisse he was in charge of financial controlling, liquidity planning and forecasting of a business unit. As Strategy Consultant at Accenture he was an IT project Scrum Master and shaped multi-billion business cases. At Chiral he owns financial controlling and forecasting, and coordinates project management efforts.

PhD from the University of Basel. With expertise in nanofabrication and characterisation he led high-impact nanomaterial projects, reducing the gap between research and industry through integration of emerging materials. He is now leading our nanofabrication efforts in the cleanroom at BRNC.
